A New Hub of Italian Excellence in the Heart of the City
On June 16, 2025, the city of Hangzhou officially inaugurated Fu Street (福邸福街), a new district overlooking the banks of the Qiantang River. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the city's evolving urban and cultural landscape. The result of ten years of meticulous planning by For D. International, Fu Street spans approximately 15,000 square meters, positioning itself as the largest cluster in China — second only to Milan’s iconic Durini Street — for flagship and independent stores of top-tier Italian furniture brands.

The inaugural day was celebrated with an official ceremony attended by local authorities, representatives of For D. International, and international guests. An evocative video presentation captured the vision and ambition behind Fu Street, emphasizing its mission to connect design, art, and the quality of urban living in this vibrant new district.

The event featured seven prestigious Italian brands, each contributing to an atmosphere of refined elegance and cultural exchange. Among the highlights, Promemoria hosted an engaging workshop dedicated to clay, the most recent material to be introduced into the brand’s creative language. Under the guidance of a skilled artisan, participants were invited to craft and personalize their own ceramic tiles as part of a collective artwork inspired by Agharti, a piece designed by Davide Sozzi. The final installation will be permanently displayed within the For D. spaces, visible to all visitors. Each participant received a certificate of authenticity, underscoring the artisanal value of the project and their individual contribution.

Additionally, the event unveiled the glazed ceramic Agharti boiserie, a sculptural installation that embodies the perfect union of Italian artistry and Chinese cultural symbolism — enriching Fu Street’s creative and cultural offering even further.
With its debut, Fu Street establishes itself as a new benchmark for design, lifestyle, and high-end craftsmanship in Asia, offering an immersive experience where beauty, heritage, and innovation converge.
