For Milan Design Week 2026, Promemoria unveils a new interpretation of the Angelina kitchen: an airy, light-filled space conceived to welcome and foster conviviality.
Reflective surfaces and wide openings soften the boundaries, while organic forms and softened edges allow a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior.
The heart of the kitchen is an island defined by organic forms, in direct dialogue with the show-cooking area. Surrounding this central core, smaller complementary islands integrate functions such as a bar and sink, further enhancing the functionality of the space.
Volumes and sculptural forms shift along the islands’ perimeters; the fluted woodwork, presented in the evocative finishes Notte Stellata and Cenere Azzurra, is expressed through two material directions: one softer and continuous, the other more structured and rhythmic.
The project unfolds as an invitation to explore, through a carefully balanced interplay of solids and voids and a meticulous attention to detail.
The cabinet units of the wall columns, finished in the Sabbia Tempestosa tone, reveal an internal contrast: lacquered surfaces in orange and magenta introduce an intense, dynamic note. A choice that enhances the working space and delivers the element of surprise that defines Promemoria’s design language.
Backlit onyx niches add depth and are integrated into a lighting system that runs throughout the kitchen, where light enhances every element.
Originating from the Zagros Mountains, Pietra Grey is defined by a deep anthracite-grey base with fine white veining and subtle variations that emerge with changing light.
It gives the kitchen elements a sculptural, architectural character, particularly on the island top and within the cabinet columns, where the material is fully expressed.
The surface is crafted in two finishes, one honed and one brushed, creating an elegant material dialogue.
Blue becomes a design language, expressed through stained woods and inlaid details, in harmony with the natural linden wood of the island table, the leathers of the seating and the stone of the counter.
Scenic doors, featuring new inlaid patterns, conceal a distinctive pantry area. The design is rhythmic and refined, alternating stripes and rectangular geometries in different wood essences, enhancing Promemoria’s artisanal savoir-faire and transforming this craft into an expression of decorative art.
Behind the inlaid doors the Grand Tour chest of drawers and cabinet are revealed, noble servants of the kitchen, where functionality and grace come together on wheels enriched with bleached ash details.
Multifaceted and eclectc kitchen.
Every Angelina kitchen is a unique piece, designed specifically around the customer's experience, who chooses every customization, adapting it to their spaces and needs.
Each kitchen, in its dimensions, compositions, and finishes, tells the story of those who live in it in their daily lives. It is a narrative of living in constant evolution.
Angelina encapsulates the philosophy and history of Promemoria, transforming them into an authentic culinary experience: a cuisine to be savored every day, shaped by simple gestures and a warm, familiar atmosphere.
Angelina is named after Romeo Sozzi’s mother, to whom this kitchen pays tribute. First introduced in 1995, it has evolved over time through an ongoing dialogue between materials, forms, and design solutions.
Its original spirit remains untouched: a story of care and daily ritual dedication. A deep love for cooking, which Romeo Sozzi has turned into an experience to be savoured every day.
